accidently. The blokey person told me the train was going to didcot, but it went straight past :( So I ended up going to that shit hole instead, and jumping on the next train out. For free, obviously. I found out if you look like you've been on the train for ages, teh ticket collector walks straight past you. :bounce:

Oi! People from Reading are allowed to insult it, but "outsiders" can't...

What is there to do in Didcot again?

alsieboo
25-03-2005, 21:58:34
Get stabbed/shot

Debaser
25-03-2005, 22:01:28
You can do that in Reading too! We have pretty much every single kind of serious crime! *proud face*

alsieboo
25-03-2005, 22:02:31
What a co-incidence! But why go all the way to Reading to get stabbed/shot by some pikey/chav, when I can have it done almost on my own front lawn

Which all the yr 11's from DGS work in.

I found out today that the one from 5ive that (apparently) looks like Matt Bellamy from muse lives up at cogges

fp
25-03-2005, 22:27:28
Phrases in that post I did not understand:
"DGS"
5ive
Matt Bellamy
muse
cogges

This must be how Drekkus feels all the time.

fp
25-03-2005, 22:28:24
oh hang on, I think muse is a band. and thinking about it logically DGS probably stands for Dicot Grammar School.

fp
25-03-2005, 22:29:55
5ive must be a band too - probably a shitty nu metal one. and i've just googled Matt Bellamy so I knowwhat he looks like now.

no flies on me.

still not sure what cogges is though. honestly, these kids today with their jive talk.

Isn't Reading that shithole you go past on the trian to London? You know, that place that looks like it's been nuked. Twice.

Didcot's that powerstation you drive past on the motorway on your way to Bristol.

It's one of central-Southern England's best eyesores, rivalled only by Portsmouth.

No idea what the town's like, never heard anything else about it. Must be pretty dull.

Welcome to Reading! Where each man kills the thing he loves!

I find it amusing that Reading Council have an Oscar Wilde room.

My fave Reading fact (apart from there being two English Kings buried there...somewhere) is that Robert Penn (who lived opposite Ye After Darke) founded the American state of Pennsylvania.

Impressive huh? :D

Oh so. Thingy that wrote wotsit used to live in the next village from me though. Can't remember his name for the life of me.

Ahem. Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

Not that there's any difference, but my fifth grade teacher used to nitpick about it.

Your fifth grade teacher was an asshole.

MDA
28-03-2005, 14:19:21
No, he was a camp song singing, show tune loving, jesus freak. He told a kid (forever named Brian Smeller as a result) he couldn't go to the bathroom and the kid eventually pissed himself...

Oh, he was an asshole wasn't he?

More importantly: I was not in Reading, ever.
