One of my team is out on vacation this week, so I'll doing his share of covering the dev support for one of our projects. Came into work this morning, and had a customer that needed assistance. The fun part: She didn't get her own name right, she didn't get her own phone number right, and she didn't get where she was located correct. And her problem wasn't related to the project (of course).

I did manage to actually track her down. Now if she can only manage to figure out how to answer a phone, I can clear this issue off the section's watch list. VIPs should always leave all their work to their secretaries/executive assistances/handlers. They invaribably just fuck it all up otherwise.

Actually, monday was the bad day! I got sick, managed to scald the bottom of my foot, and still had to go into work to cover for the missing man. While dealing with our section's resident idiot who literally couldn't remember how to start the log in process on a M$ W2K machine. You know, that Control+Alt+Delete thing they make you do. The thing he's done for the past 4 years, every day, at least 4 times a work day!

Maybe there is something in the water...

Japher, take a digital photo of your camera and email that to me. I will get my people right on determining what model phone you have, and get them to contact you with instructions on how to operate your phone.

You should memo your phone to the help desk, and ask them to put a sticky on that button for you.
