Somebody deleted my "What is your Social Security Number" thread...but I'm better it was UR.

Oerdin

He was just jealous because he didn't have a social security number to give the Nigerians.

If the thread was deleted, it was probably me... most of the other mods just close threads... unless it's REALLY bad ;)

What are the rules?

Ming

I delete threads more often than anybody does. I usually do it so that there isn't a "memorial" to the bad behaviour. If you just close it, tons of people can still see it... be removing it, it takes some of the fun away from creating the thread in the first place ;)

Many fall under the common sense rules ;)

We follow the "intent" of the owners, and sometimes have to guess the "intent" of the posters. It's not perfect, but frankly, it isn't a democracy ;)

Wasn't so bad... :)

Just pointing out the ridiculousness of the sudden plethora of "What's your personal <insert your choice>?" threads. Occasionally even I get a wild hair!

And Ming, you have to admit that the Fez thing, although insensitive, did have an air of humor. :)

I find a lot of the stuff I delete funny... Hell, some of the funniest stuff has to be deleted. Just because something is funny doesn't mean it isn't against the rules ;)

I thought of starting a "What is your first name ASCII encoded XORed with your last name ASCII encoded" thread, but then I came to my senses and beat myself.
