I just want to brag about getting ID'd twice on Friday night even though I'm 30 this year :) :) :)

Admittedly they were id'ing everyone but one of the bouncers thought I was 23. HA!

we did think about going to the AD, but I prefer trawling over 21's bars so I can brag about getting ID'd :D

If I got IDd I wouldn't actually have any ID on me.

Is there an over 21 bar that doesn't totally suck?

I went to the local super market to buy a six pack of beer last Saturday and the new check out girl carded me. I hadn't even brought my ID with me but luckily I grew up in this neighborhood and I went to elementry through high school with two of the guys who work there and they vouched for me. ;)

I'm 28 so I don't expact to be carded any more.

I haven't been IDd for years. Never was when I was actually underage, only afterwards :)

Oh, and, there's supposed to be a point to threads?

Dangerous IDing someone who's actually underage, you might not make the sale. ;)

I don't have ID since I don't drive, don't usually carry a passport, and my NI card was stolen. I did invite the bouncer to check out my crow's feet though :)

I think your idea of suck and mine are possibly quite different but we were trying to get into Revolutions and Po Na Na's. We tried The Reflex too for comedy value.....trainers are a big problem in Reading aren't they?

Po Na Na is normally fine with trainers, not that I've been there on the weekend for a long time. Queue is too long.

You could try the Fez... don't think I've been turned away from anywhere in Reading in recent memory but then I don't try and go places that I think suck. ;)

Just embrace the After Dark. You need no other place. :)

sleeping_satsuma
15-03-2005, 23:16:33
we got into PoNa Na in the end but left 25 mins later due to my brother and his gf having a big fight

I'm not so keen on the AD any more- I don't like places where I'm statistically more likely to find myself outnumbered by people born in the 80's

I like girls born in the 80's. Though the mid to late 70's is more my age range.

I can't recall age-cheking in Italy except for rated movies (we have two ratings, 14 cand 18)...
I suppose there should be checks for alcohol and cigarettes sales too, but I've never saw them enforced ever.

A very formative episode in my youth, which also explains why I so much like my mom... not.
When I was 13, we went toghether to see a 14-rated thriller.
She first vouched for me being 14, and then immediately asked whether I got the kid's ticket reduction, applicable under the age of 12, which left the cashier baffled, and me embarassingly amused.

there's only one thing worse than going to places where I'm statistically outnumbered by people born in the 80's, and thats going to places where I'm statistically outnumbered by people who are desperate to reclaim their vanishing youth.....especially when I can go and ogle young boys in trendy vodka bars

Anyway Mr F, life does not begin and end at the AD.

I was born in 1975.....I just missed punk and was too early for grunge.

I recall grunge but you can't even get into concerts or underaged clubs until you're 16. :(

It's easy to get into clubs or concerts when you are underaged! Just be a roadie. Worked fine for me.
