okay okay, so you twats did not eat at one of the top reataurants in town for free cause your friend invited you.
My friend started a side-career in writing previews for a rotterdam newspaper.
So two times a week he had to eat out and write about that, today he choose a hip new lunchrestaurant.
cause you all asked:
My lunch started with a good glass pinot gris, then for starters i had Yakitori with another white wine (man i do not know my wines), after that they made a architectual wonderpiece from my ceasar salad with roasted gamba's of course served with another white wine, last dish some smelly yammi cheeses with a nice fruity red wine.
tipped it off with coffee and cognac.

Now i know why the French don't get their things done, they are all drunk after 3.

for Mose (and others as well). There's an open market each monday where one street is filled with kiosks selling fruit, vegetables and generally whatever doesn't involve meat. In one of my rare appearances there (my mother had sent me) I went to buy some greens. So I say (quite naturally): "I would like some greens" only to be comfronted with the shocking question: "you wanna wild or italian?". In a state of shocked indignation I reply: "but don't you have greek greens?!". I thought that was too much. we don't even have damn greens so we need to import them too?? Turns out (after the laugh the kiosk man gave) "italian" is simply a kind of greens. they were greek italians after all. but now i really think they only do have argentinian italians or something from as far away.

so "italian" greens are opposed to the wild ones? we're the educated ones?

Actually, in the great distribution we often find vegetables from abroad, maybe because they're cheaper (!), or more aesthetically pleasing to our superficial customer's eyes.
For instance, at my supermarket I can choose between Greek or Spanish garlic, but they don't sell italian... I usually take greek :D

For lunch I had Mozarella and sun dried tomato baguette and some crisps.

I don't normally have crisps but I was tempted!

1 30g bag of crisps has 1/5 of "an average man's" daily recommended calories. Interesting.

MoSe
01-03-2005, 13:34:03
If they were pure fat (and you can't have anything more caloric than that), at 9 kcal/g, 30g would yield 270 calories.

270*5=1350

1800 calories/day made me lose weight even with a VERY moderate physical activity...

King_Ghidra
01-03-2005, 13:37:10
all the stuff i see says 2500 calories (or kcals to be exact) for an adult male

my 'french fries crispy potato sticks' are one of the lowest cal/fat kinds and are only 94 kcals

that's about 3% of the daily recommended intake

Tizzy
01-03-2005, 13:39:06

I think maybe I was looking at the Kcals per 100g not per bag! That makes sense.

About 150Kcals per bag and 500 per 100g.

So 1/20th of your energy - and 1/7th of your fat.
