View Full Version : Damn phone company.

There's been a ton of static on the phone lines for the last three days due to the record rain fall getting some sort of equipment wet. Several calls to the phone company have not resolved this issue and thier high tech advice was "just wait and the lines will dry out in a day or two". :bash:

Luckily, my cell phone clear as a bell.

They probably couldn't hear you complain.

Maybe you have water in your ears.

Get a blowdryer and help the lines along. I'm sure they'll appreciate it.

They should wrap a heating coil around the line when they first install. Then they can just plug it in to instantly dry it all out ! Genius.

Splicing the phone line directly into the power main should dry it out in no time!

Oerdin, I said tie it into the power line, not the water line!

At work our phone company has decided (for the third time) that our ADSL line shouldn't have ADSL on it. Something to do with us changing the number a few years ago and them having no record of it.

Using the back-up route now.

Fucking BT. Totally useless.

Maybe that's why it doesn't work. :)
