I hate change.
Everytime I get used to a season and begin to feel snug and comfy in it, there it changes and it's time to renew your wardrobe again!

If you burn the inside of your nose of with cortisteroids it can be fine. As long as you don't frolick in any meadows.

Have you ever thought about a desensitisation ? You only have to bear mothly injections... and 3 years later you're fine. perhaps I'm actually doing it against hay fever and "house-dust-acarine" (My dictionary and I don't know the right word for it :( )

If the West Virginians have the technology, it's got to be old.

Funkodrom
24-02-2005, 15:19:14
Maybe if I'd actually been to the doctor about it in the last 15 years... they were always useless though.

Monthly injections for 3 years though. Ugh.

C@H
24-02-2005, 15:23:21
I do it since 2002. You have to start with a weekly interval, and after 6 Weeks you are on the monthly level.

It is the only way of allergy treatment, which the normal "school medicine" offers. (except depressing the symptoms)

Venom
24-02-2005, 15:23:36
You take nightly beef injections. Surely you've got the stamina for monthly needles.

zmama
24-02-2005, 15:23:45
yup and no guarantee. But it does help most people. Hes had only one asthma attack in the past 15 years. Lots better than the 2 a week

I went to somekind of wonderdoctor, something with magnets and all, after 6 sessions he cured me. big relief, drinking beer in a park yaaaaaaay.

F*cking asthma. They call it here the "floor transition": It begins with the normal hay fever at nose and eyes, then cough and then asthma. Sad, that I didn't start earlier to treat that allergies.

It is a bit dangerous. Every month you have the risk of an anaphylactic shock, which is not funny. My cousin had several, which forced her to stop this therapy.

Other side effects are

- oedema at the injection area
- redness -"-
- itching

so.. nothing mentionable

I was very often at an alternative practitioner. Nice, but without any results.
