So my widower father invited me over tonight to have dinner with him. I say ok and we have a lovely marinated pork roast with about three bottles of wine. We're both kind of fucked up (ok, more then a little fucked up) when the phone rings. It turns out my father (who's pushing 60) has posted a single's ad on one of those online dating websites and he has had a number of ladies calling him. I would never have guessed but I'm happy he's out dating again.

The alternative/BDSM personals?

He could probably get a nice young girl to whip him.

Cunt crusher has a better ring to it.

Or spam purse puncher.

Ah but pussy crusher has been used in rap lyrics. So it's cool.

Although I could make cunt crusher cool.

He's nothing of the sort. He's an old man who's decided to go back out and brave the world of dating. I'm happy for him since he and my mother started dating when they were both 16 and they were the only ones they ever dated until my mother died last year. 43 year is a long time to be out of the dating scene and I'm happy he's no longer just sitting home drinking and feeling sorry for his misfortune. Both he and my mother were together since adolescences.

 My aunt went through a divorce a few years ago - She moped around for a while, too. I get the impression she enjoys dating a lot more than she enjoyed her marriage. She doesn't seem to have any intention to settle down, but she does like her men. :)
