paiktis22
17-02-2005, 19:14:53
Does it matter?

Drekkus
17-02-2005, 19:23:09
It has caused a revolution in the way people interact, how people work and communicate.

paiktis22

If you put it like that

The last place I work we recorded dates and time as time/date

So Feb. 17th, 2005 at 12:25 in the afternoon would be 021705/1225

being a manufacturing facility you did that a lot

I had to work new years eve off 2000(got to rather for 3x pay) and recording dates in 2001 was pretty confussing especially after midnight: 010101/0001 or 1 am; 010101/0100... it was annoying so i quit

"021705/1225"

You mean 170205/1225.

Provost Harrison
17-02-2005, 20:30:21
That is a perculiar format.

Japher
17-02-2005, 20:35:28
nope, we did month-day-year

PH: since we did it a lot it made it quicker to write and read... I still do it from time to time, but manuf. gets confussed because they use 021505 as a tracking number for items and 02-15-05 as the date.

zmama
17-02-2005, 20:38:09
I like year, month, day

nice and neat and orderly

Provost Harrison
17-02-2005, 21:26:00
17-Feb-05 kind of format is what we use where I work, no ambiguity...

Depends on the reasons

Funkodrom
18-02-2005, 12:19:59
And whether or not you are using a 24 hour clock.

The Bursar
18-02-2005, 17:26:29
If you're using a 12 hour clock I did both.

I've been up since one, but I didn't really want to be (I actually have to be awake dayside today), so I'm grilling a Reuben and going back to bed.
