By Bill Gates himself in-fact, obviously reacting to Micro$ofts recent fall in market share (http://www.computerworld.com/developmenttopics/websitemgmt/story/0,10801,99117,00.html) to the new Firefox browser. A turn around as it was expected that the new browser wouldn't come out till Longhorn was released. Expect it to come out late 2005/early 2006 for Windows XP SP2! (only?).

IE has been looking long in the tooth ever since Mozilla actually became usable and stable. While 90% is still comfortable, I think that MS remembers how Netscape's slowness to improve their product after Communicator 4 was a contributing factor to the demise of Netscape. Even if they're not ready to tackle biggies just yet, they should be able to tack on tabbing/windowing and pop-up suppression.

Yeah, it will only be for XP SP2 and up.

My updated IE with SP2 has pop up busting now. Works pretty damn good too.
