I even used to occasionally help run the 1st year (year 7) maths club when I was in the 6th form.

I got a CSE Grade 1 in Maths two years early - not that it did me any good...

It was really good fun. I just got to build stuff like paper aeroplanes, towers and egg transporting machines with some little kids (who were pretty funny, it was my little brother's year). You'd have loved it. :)

Plus it looked great on my Uni applications - everyone asked me about it in interviews.

ok so that does sound fun

I was imagining our math club...guys with taped together black glasses, white shirts and black trousers pulled up to their armpits. They smelled bad too

I wish I were joking!!!

They were the only ones with access to a computer...a connection to the SUNY mainframe.

I was intrigued but not enough to jeopardize my nose and precarious social standing. ;)
