View Full Version : Getting harassed by LibDems

Next twat in an orange rosette who knocks on my door gets garotted.

Last week a canvasser asks if I'll vot LibDem. I said something along the lines of "Yeah, whatever". Then they ask if I'll put a poster in my window, and I go "Yeah, whatever" in an attempt to get them to piss off.

A couple of days later they're back, asking if I'd be interested in delivering leaflets for them. I reply along the lines of "No fucking chance". They say "But you do support us, don't you?". I start growling. They leave.

This evening they knock on my door to draw my attention to the fact that it's 5.30PM and I've not voted yet. The next knocker dies.

Portishead Redcliffe Bay, North Somerset Unitary, was a Conservative seat with a majority of 205.

Reminds me of the leaflets the "socialists" sent to several people saying "thank you madam for voting socialists" whereas it was a sir and they had never voted socialists. but they thanked them nevertheless.

That's a fairly cheeky thing to do.

Just raise the drawbridge, and get the boiling oil ready.

After all, you know they won't want to know you between elections.

Yeah. The socialists are a lost cause now. They got as a leader one guy who's got a very "american way", his mother was american he was brought up in sweden among other places... it's like comparing soyvlaki to pudding. the pudding will always lose.
little goergie they call him (goergie in english). plus he has some minor trouble speaking greek. mushy very mushy. not that the little fatty the rightists have as a leader and PM is any better. basically the time of strong leaders has passed. now it's toned down. but with toned down there's a feeling the political spectrum is less skilled too.
the socialists lost because they let corruption run rampage. the rightists will lose because they promised to squash it and they havent delivered anything yet. it's a great bore but that's not ok or normal.

basically it was the same old many decades with corruption and stuff like that. but at least there was vibrato passion great mottos, catchy ideologies expressed in a phrase. now it's ONE BIG BORE. yep

basically goergie (socialists) is so polite because he has nothing else to say, so he thinks: "if I dont have anything to say let me at least be polite when I don't say anything" that doesnt impress anyone.

kostaki (rightists) is of the mindset that "if I do something, it might be wrong/harmful to me or my party, so it is better to do nothing" that doesnt impress anyone either.

so you have one that says nothing and another one that does nothing. and they still get payed.

kind of like me now

They'll learn. Tory canvassers never knock on my door. I think I'm on their list marked "Avoid at all costs".

The chair of our department got a thank you note from George W Bush for "his generous contribution". He posted it on his office door, as the only thing he would donate to Dubya would be a swift kick to the head.

The really alarming thing about this ward is that the second party is the BNP  I've been looking to move out of this shithole for some time now...

Just tell everyone you're against them, and don't tell them you're in favour of anyone (otherwise you'd get tactical literature - "Labour can't win here" etc). They'll all stay clear, for a while at least - I assume you'd go out and vote anyway.

Tell 'em you sold your vote on e-bay for a pint of beer and reusable sheep skin condoms.

Perhaps I've missed something, but didn't you move recently?

I am in London, which I like, but I am in a pretty shitty area of it. Hence the threat about 'Watch out Tizzy'. I haven't moved yet due to some financial problems (my agency has gone into receivership which is nice of them so I haven't been paid for quite some time) although as I now have the offer of a permanent positions things should resolve themselves.

No, it's nothing like that bad, I am getting the money either way - my company/new agency said they would give it to me and they would reclaim it later...it's just more messing around than anything else...
