Where can I host my pictures?

In order to show your pictures on B3ta, they must already be on the internet somewhere. You can't link to images on your hard drive and we can't afford the bandwidth to host the pictures for you.

The best idea is to buy some webspace and host your images there. It's not all that expensive, you get to have your own domain name and you can also make your own website with cool stuff like a gallery of the pics you've made for b3ta.

If you don't want to buy webspace, then it's a good idea to check with your Internet Service Provider. Lots of ISPs give you some webspace as part of the deal, so it's worth checking out.

The other option is to find somebody on the web willing to host your pictures for free. there are a few options out there, including:

* B3tards file uploader - made by coding genius and b3ta boarder 15135
* MSN Groups - b3ta boarder Spoon wrote this handy guide to using MSN Groups.
* Imageshack - also lets you host Flash stuff.
* UKdragon - B3ta boarder Kieren made this site for temporary b3ta hosting.
* Photobucket

Angelfire, Geocities and Tripod are not good places to host B3ta pictures, so please try somewhere different if you already have an account with them

If you knew someone with loads of spare webspace like Funko or Vincent you could ask them to host them.

Provost Harrison

Tizzy

Provost Harrison
01-02-2005, 16:02:19
If it was a PHd I would have repied in response to Mike's axe/guitar joke by saying there would obviously no guitar shops in that region as it is in the financial district of London :p

I learnt that if you hide behind Nav, no one takes any embarrassing pictures of you.

I learnt that if you don't sit in some dodgy alleyway, no one takes any embarrassing pictures of you.

I learnt that if you don't go to the Chinese Meal afterwards, no one takes any embarrassing pictures of you. I also learnt that I should plan better so that next time I can be around for Chinese Meal afterwards...

I learnt that if you don't go back to Tizzy's place, no one takes any embarrassing pictures of you.

I learnt that you can take the piss out of a Dutchman by asking for a John Smith's - or Old Peculiar, or Broadside. Were they still selling Waggledance?:hmm:

I learnt how to make neat psychedelic avatars with embarrassing pictures.
