So, apparently I'm going to be in serious trouble if I give cotton balls for valentines day.

How much do I trust the science?

Basically you have to decide if you trust the science more than the word of the troublemaker.

Will the science hurt you if you give cotton balls? Unlikely.
Will the recipient? Undoubtedly :D
