I really don't care about any 'celebrity' trial in the slightest.

I'm only looking forward to the verdict and an end to news stories about him.

No, I am not a voyuer who gets excited watching trials about child molesters.

Int he end you have to always remember the source of this "entertainment" is abused children.

Unless he is found innocent.

In which case I don't have a perverse desire to watch an innocent man be drug through the dirt and his reputation be irreperably damaged.

Well it isn't really, is it? The kids are just a minor detail. If the verdict is "guilty", we get to see a walking freakshow who has previously bought his way out of trouble brought to justice. It's a sideshow geek, not kiddyporn that's the attraction.

Alternatively, if he's found innocent then it's a vindication of a good but misunderstood man over a callous and cynical media.

Everyone's a winner either way.

No, if he is guilty the sideshow attraction is still a kid raper. People's lives were severly damaged. You describe the very problem, we are ignoring the victim.

If he is found not guilty it is a legal vindication, but do you really think that will be the end of it?

I mean, everyone agrees that OJ is innocent right?

i saw an interesting prog about OJ recently which surmised that he was at the scene but not alone. They seemed to have some pretty good evidence too.

I was being a bit facetious about Jacko really, but it will be interesting to see how it pans out. Whatever happens those kids are tarred for life- the last kid he went to court for has had death threats and lives in what is best described as a compound now. Its kinda sad. Specially if its true.

Are there any movies about Jacko's life in production already? Or are they holding up just yet?

So what's the solution? Legal gagging orders on the media coupled with suing any member of the public talking about it? We're all rubberneckers.

Just because there is no ready viable solution doesn't justify it, or make it any less disgusting.

It's human nature. Just like picking a scab, in fact.

Hmm. Not sure about this human nature stuff. People keep telling me it's human nature to be racist, to pick your nose and eat the snot, it's human nature to pick a scab, it's human nature to blah blah blah...

Either I'm not human or this human nature stuff is made up by people trying to justify their bad sides.

It is..but that's also human nature ;)

Criminal justice is supposed to be a public event- to demonstrate justice. The exceptions are good ones, and that's why I imagine the identity of the kids will nt be revealed. I see no reason to feel guilt about taking an interest in the trial.

I guess these trials are the modern equivalent of the stocks or the gallows

Laz they have already stated one of the kids is the one in the Bashir vid, dunno about the others

why?

I'm not as interested in seeing the trial as I am in seeing a guilty verdict. I was hoping that Jackson wouldn't fire Geragos, but somebody must have tipped him off that Geragos appears to be "0-for-" in high-profile cases. What also irks me is that parents kept sending their kids over to his house even after the first time Jackson got in trouble. I could be wrong, but if he needs convincing that others don't understand his behavior, then I don't need convincing about what should be done. And parents who claim to be looking out for their children shouldn't need convincing either.

It's scary how rich people get to do some outragious stuff and get away with it just because they can hire more lawyers then god.
