I'm too lazy to go search again.

So we take the train from Stansted to Liverpool station.
Then what?

Funkodrom
28-01-2005, 12:52:55
Go to the Underground.

Go to the ticket window

Ask for a "Zone one to three travelcard"

Go to the underground, take the central line to Tottenham Court Road

Change there, and take the Northern Line to Liecester Square.

Come out of Liecester Square, look for the Wyndham theatre (either next door to your left or across the road to the right).

Go down the alley next to the Wyndham Theatre and the Round table is there (next to the guy selling tacky souvenirs!)

Cheers, mate!

We land at 12.45, so we will be there between 2 and 3, I reckon.

Funkodrom
28-01-2005, 12:58:56
Yeah... trains go at 00 and 30 past the hour. If you get the half past 1 train you should be there about half past 2 or so.

What's he going to do in Zones 2 aqnd 3?

Oh and good use of southern dialect there. ;)

If you get confused in Leicester Square then ask people if they know where the Round Table is. If they say "Camelot" then punch them in the face.

Provost Harrison
28-01-2005, 13:10:22
They only sell travelcards in even units off-peak (1-2, 1-4, 1-6). Liverpool Street is Zone 1, so is the Round Table so you want the Zone 1-2 Travelcard. I don't think there's anywhere in Zone 3 unless you were going back to Tizzy's place (Charlton is in Zone 3), in which case you'd have to buy a Zone 1-4. Unless before 9:30 where it would be pricier but you could get a Zone 1-3. If you want to come and see my in the sticks, that'll be a Zone 1-6 :D

Why aren't you coming, fp?

Funkodrom
28-01-2005, 13:21:39
Ok, zone 1-4 travelcard then. Need zone 3 to get to Tizzy's anyway.

Provost Harrison
28-01-2005, 13:23:18
Unless they are going to North Greenwich tube station, which is on the cusp of 2 and 3 (you only need Zone 1-2) :D

Provost Harrison
28-01-2005, 13:24:01
...if you go on the train, you'll be sharing the train with moi :D

Funkodrom
28-01-2005, 13:24:55
Unless they are then getting the bus to Tizzy's in which case they can then use the travelcard on the bus, which needs zone 3.

Consider yourself pwned.

Provost Harrison
28-01-2005, 13:25:19
Bah!

Go to the Underground.

Go to the ticket window

Ask for a "zone one to four travelcard"

Go to the underground, take the central line to Tottenham Court Road

Change there, and take the Northern Line to Liecester Square.

Come out of Liecester Square, look for the Wyndham theatre (either next door to your left or across the road to the right).

Islands always wig me out. They're like, out there man. How do they have everything! HOW! Is their web surfing curtailed because they only have so many undersea cables to the mainland? What about gas? Are there refineries out there? WHAT ARE THE LIMITS DAMMIT!!!!???? WHAT ARE THEY?!?!?!?!

Funkodrom
28-01-2005, 15:17:31

I live on an island, and we have all that stuff.

Venom
28-01-2005, 15:19:14
But you're close to the mainland and you've got chunnel things to help. But back in the day, man...HOW DID IT ALL WORK!? HOW?!?!

Funkodrom
28-01-2005, 15:20:54
They didn't have the internet back then and we grew most stuff we needed, everything else went on boats.

Venom

And that's scary shit man. Scary. Islands wig me out.

Funkodrom

You know America (North and South) is like a really gigantic island.

zmama
28-01-2005, 15:24:30
I think being 21 miles from the continent is a bit different than Hawaii to the mainland being 2650 miles

Venom
28-01-2005, 15:26:14
Wig factor * 50 right there.

Funkodrom
28-01-2005, 15:26:41
They are both islands.

Venom

But they're huge. They've got all the refineries and cables and porn shops and food making places and animal growing and killing places.

So the Wig Factor=(DistancefromLand*SmallnessofIsland)/LandMassSize

SmallnessofIsland variable increases the smaller the island.

Excellent. Another bit of science.

New Zealand is quite freaky - but it's a double island. How does that work?

Venom
28-01-2005, 15:41:07
Double island that close counts as 1 island. Where it gets tricky is if we consider Aussieland to be the nearest land, as it is continent-island, in which case the Wig factor is lessened.

Of course, you can tie in sociological variables and factor it thusly-it's closest land IS Aussieland, but seeing as how it's a shithole and full of Aussies, that actually increases the Factor. Also increasing the Factor for New Zealand on the sociological front is the tremendous number of sheep. Creepy for me. Heaven for you.

Funkodrom
28-01-2005, 15:42:57
Aussie land is still 3000 miles away or something though.

Venom
28-01-2005, 15:44:35
So New Zealand has a very high Wig Factor. A Wig Factor almost equal to that of someone exploring the South Pole.

Funkodrom
28-01-2005, 15:47:28
What about Easter Island? I reckon that could be the most wiggy island in the world.

zmama
28-01-2005, 15:50:43
1200 miles from NZ to Aussieland

Venom
28-01-2005, 15:51:25
Oh yeah. Huge Wig Factor. Off the charts almost.

Easter Island that is.

NZ Wig Factor...lessened a bit with this new info, but still high.

I thought only half the men were 'rapists', i.e. population > 30. And half the women said that the charges were unneccessary, and that sexing 14 year old girls was a perfectly reasonable local custom.
