Is it too soon to start making fun of him for believing there's actually going to be a meet in London?

Oh, there'll be a "meet" all right, even if it simply involves a bunch of trips to your individual homes.

I leave 9:30 p.m. my time. Six hour time difference, right? Would make it 3:30 a.m. twat time.

How long's the flight?

Should I be preparing my best "Sorry, I'm out of change" line in case I encounter him at the airport on my way to work?

Ah yes... I was counting 20 hour days.

You should be preparing you best "Hello, fine sir. Here's 10 quid. Please feel free to spend it on booze."

Is Lurker going to pay a transatlantic ticket to see you?

No, we all collected money for him to come, because we like him so much.

Ha ha I made it. So there. Is 10:45 a.m. too early for English pubs?

Welcome to Blighty!

By the time you get to one it should be open.

I've already been to the hotel. Too early to check in so I left my bag. Gotta kill two hours.

11 AM would be fine for most pubs. Traditional opening time is from eleven to three, then from seven in the evening to eleven. Many pubs are open eleven to eleven these days though, especially in towns.

There's something smelly in the state of England.
