Which wins:

Boots of Dinging Kicking or Boots of Escaping?

JM^3

wear your boots of escaping

they can't hurt

JM

I'm thinking mainly of this conflict in the context of how Tizzy the Vengeful will fare in her battle with that wiley old rogue Gandertak the Despicable.

Depends on your level. The Boots of Dingding kicking for a character who has several attacks in his Base Attack Bonus. He could incapacitate many opponents. Low-BAB characters would probably find running away more useful.

Another issue is whom you're fighting. Boots of Escaping wouldn't be so useful against a spellcaster with good ranged attacks. Any character would find the Boots of Dingding Kicking a prudent choice when fighting spellcasters.

Another thing: Boots of Dingding kicking would not be useful against women.

Hmmm... I'm not sure how this will go. A confined space might limit Gandertak the Despicable's chances.

My SavingThrow vs Dingding Kicking is really good.

MOBIUS

Boots of Dingding kicking, if only because the Boots of Escaping will have fled the field of battle.

Also the best Boots of Escaping can manage is only a draw.

It does work very effectively

Gary

But there's different goals.

If the aim is to escape then surely escaping is a WIN for the escapee. If the aim is to kick, then the potential escapee has to stick around to be kicked in order to get a WIN.

Tizzy
26-01-2005, 11:23:40
You also have to take deployment time into account. The Boots of Dingding Kicking can be used much faster than the Boots of Escaping.

There is no escape. If you accept that now it will be so much easier for you.

Funkodrom
26-01-2005, 11:39:37
You can escape really slowly but hurt the boods of dingding kicking in the process - turning them into the boots of DONG!!! DONG!!!

You're the one threatening to wear the iron chestwaders of escaping. I'm just analysing your decision to do so.

Tizzy
26-01-2005, 11:49:53
You see nothing threatening in suggesting that the boots get hurt?

It depends really. Since they are boots of escaping (rather than boots of running away really, really quickly), they may include other powers, such as invisibilty, wall climbing, or gaseousness.
