Even if you switch from fastest to shortest route, you go to England first. That's one LONG ferry ride. :)

Is there a ferry boat to Norway from the central UK?

Gary

 That is brilliant. So much so that one suspects it's a deliberate "easter egg". But nice all the same.

If you have a submarine, why do you need a boat?

Sometimes it's nice to travel on the surface and get some rays.

I think they maybe haven't modeled every road in Norway. :D

There's one from Newcastle to Kristiansand. That's kinda central if you count the Outer Hebrides. :D

Here's one that's funny and was reported on NPR the other day: http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=5140674

Apparently the "big three" US map finding websites all direct traffic up a flight of pedestrian-sidewalk-stairs. Perhaps not as funny as voyages across the ocean to get to the corner shops, but amusing nonetheless.
