Even Asher thinks it's far better than IE, so that means it must be. :D

Basically it's alot more secure, which is always good. It's also very customisable. You can keep the default setup which is very similar to IE in many ways, or you can install lots of little mods and gadgets and cool things (all available from the Firefox website and small downloads) to do all sorts of weird and wonderful stuff.

It's very groovy. The icon is also pretty.

I switched to Mozilla for most browsing around the time that it reached version 1. It was already better than IE, having better stability, tabs, and popup suppression. Firefox (ex-Firebird, ex-Phoenix) eventually worked in the same extensibility and features I found most essential in Mozilla, and I switched. What Firefox can do that Mozilla can't is display the menu, buttons, and address bar in the same row. Two rows of grey at the top of the window is better than three.
