View Full Version : Donations needed!

The Management
17-11-2004, 22:55:31
Recently, Counterglow passed its third birthday. Over those three years, we have been through a number of hosts but hope now that the site is running as well as it ever has.

It has reached the time when we must once again ask for contributions from members. Due to members' generosity at the end of the first year of operation, it was not necessary to formally invite contributions at the end of year two (although many of you did kindly volunteer donations during the year). This year, however, the Management does need to ask if members would be willing to once again contribute to the running and upkeep of the site.

If you wish to make a donation you should contact Resource Consumer via a PM (http://www.counterglow.com/forum/private.php?action=newmessage&userid=5), with details on how much you would like to donate and how you wish to pay. RC will give you further instructions on how to proceed.

Please note however that donations should be made by cheque or bank transfer only and not cash (unless you can pay in person that is).

Thank you in advance for your continued support!

Funkodrom
18-11-2004, 12:00:57
A million dollars!

Whatever you want.

You could give 1 or nothing if you wanted. I think I gave 10 last time.

And yes, a CG meet to get cash in person isn't a bad idea.

I would also like to have some sense of the goal.

Hey Nav, you can sell that game I supposedly won that you never sent me. That will be part of my contribution. :p

I'll be sending RC a CD in a couple of days, so I'll pop a cheque in the envelope.

I heard that if you don't contribute The Management will force you to have an avatar of RC and only allow you to post in the Word association thread... oh and that you'd be damned forever (something like that anyway).

Last time, they took PayPal (it's why I registered with PayPal). Is that still an option?

Why should we have to pay everything? I say all three of the real people on this forum should split the bill.

I donated last time. I still like this place enough to help out.

I'll PM RC, as he is the keeper of the addresses currently. :)

RC knows these and could mail/PM it to you. For me it was really cheap to transfer money that way, 15 cts fee in total ...
