View Full Version : My CD

08-11-2004, 13:31:15
OK kids, if anyone wants my CD what do they want on it? See poll options above.

08-11-2004, 17:50:52
I'd really like a fist-pumping.

08-11-2004, 20:43:13
do you charge for the fist-pumping?

08-11-2004, 23:32:00
No novelty songs?

09-11-2004, 09:29:05
Well this is very evenly spread. Maybe I should do more than one.

Who voted for what?

I voted Novelty. I want silly, silly novelty tracks.

09-11-2004, 10:20:51
Fist-pumping happy stuff of course

09-11-2004, 11:34:13
Just for the record I voted for the first option because I think that's what rock is, for me. For other, more complicated, subtler music I listen to other stuff. I've also noticed how neurotic the city makes people. If you find yourself in some more quit place, like countryside etc, something less hectic, you can more readily listen to other kinds of more mellow/complicated music. But when you are in the city you want something that is more loud than the outside world, like chasing the noise and hectism away with something more powerful. Which explains I guess why rock is urban music to begin with. But jump and shout, that's rock for me.

09-11-2004, 14:49:46
I voted ludicrously disjointed and random.

Most likely because if I ever get around to it, that's what mine would end up being. :)

Who voted for what? I voted for weird novelty songs.

I didn't vote for any.

But if I did, I would vote for silly disjointed fist-pumping novelty party songs.

Like the early B-52s, only moreso.

10-11-2004, 08:54:46
Well the last one's winning so far.

I can always put some songs from the other categories on a CD like that.

12-11-2004, 03:42:11
I want pretty!

(p.s I am thinking of doing a rock metal one )

15-11-2004, 09:34:54
The random mix of stuff is winning with the weird shit in second place so I'll probably do a mix of stuff.

29-03-2005, 12:55:11
Wow... this was longer ago than I thought. Have the new PC up and running now it's going to make this a hell of a lot easier so I'll get off my arse and sort something this week / weekend.

29-03-2005, 15:10:58
I can't even remember what I voted for anymore.

I voted for the last one but can't remember what it was........

27-05-2005, 15:13:56
I am SO slack.

Going to definitely do it this weekend.

I have contributions from Mr G and MoSe that they gave me at the last CG meeting to put on too.

31-05-2005, 06:42:25
I need to stop reading the general forum and just read the other ones.

Voted for Fist Pumping, because the other genres are covered so much better in other styles

Oooh, pretty music = Classical
Weird novelty shit that's funny for half the song but then gets boring. = rap
A ludicrously disjointed combination of random styles that should never be heard together. = techno

31-05-2005, 09:04:58

Wouldn't say that was necessarily true.

Anyway it wasn't a "guitar music only" type choice there could easily be any of those three genres included.

In the end it's ended up being a really big LWP type entry, "stuff I really like but you might not have heard", mix of genres but mainly guitar based. I have 14 songs, which was all the stuff I was planning to put on it, but it's only taken up half the CD so I'm not sure whether to add some more other stuff on or just accept that it's only 35 minutes. Hmm again.

31-05-2005, 11:15:12
Accept that it's only 35 minutes. Nobody wants to hear over an hour of stuff they've never heard before...

31-05-2005, 12:04:12
Yeah, ok. Better quality over quantity it's not my fault the songs are short. :D

Well if anyone wants one say here and/or PM me an address.

31-05-2005, 12:27:26
I'll take one, if that's ok by you.

31-05-2005, 14:46:36
ok thanks Laz and Eklektikos

Mr. Bas
01-06-2005, 13:04:21
I'd like one as well, if possible... I'll pm you the address.

01-06-2005, 13:14:46
Now got Greg and Bas too.

02-06-2005, 00:46:10
If Rach isn't already on the list, I'd like one too. =)

"stuff I really like but you might not have heard" = Good. I would have voted for that.

02-06-2005, 09:26:23
OK Ned added you to the list.

I have a slight blank-CD-flow problem but once it's been resolved I'll start burning.

Stefu X
03-06-2005, 23:29:35
Sure, put me in the list.

05-06-2005, 02:39:58
Cheers Mike. =)

Oh go on, bung me a copy. Though the "Kinda like an LWP entry" doesn't sound too promising.

My addy is in one of Laz's threads.

05-06-2005, 12:41:55
Novel eclectic nonsense...!

08-06-2005, 18:49:20
Right, burning now.

Laz, Bas, Greg, Eklektikos, Shiny, Stefu, Scabby...

That's 7 CDs and I have 5 addresses.

Stefu and Scabby?

"my address is in one of Laz's threads" sucks, I am very lazy.

Will post track info tomorrow. Tizzy and Debaser already have copies.

08-06-2005, 20:03:18
ok BGH added.

Gonna be fun in the post office. :D

09-06-2005, 09:24:32
Oops, forgot to listen to this yesterday :D

09-06-2005, 09:28:48
I think the first half is better than the second half.

Bah, you bitch I don't have enough covers printed. :bash:

Anyone else?

The CDs are burnt. Putting the covers on, etc over the weekend and I'll post them on monday so that's your deadline.
