Anyone ever thought of doing a LWP type album, only with CG members making songs?

I have access to full studio recording equipment and musicians. What I have in mind is either a 4, 8, 16, etc. track tape that goes from guitarist to bass to drums to vocals, for example.
I can play passable ryhthm guitar but would rather just supply the (a) vocal track.

Not sure if recording equipment is universal or not...but I'm willing to try!

Anyone else think this is an intriguing idea???

If someone sent me a tape (even a basic 4 track) I could record a vocal track...even if we had multiple vocalists, it would be neat to hear different interpretations of the same music, etc....

Discuss?

Yes... do you remember Loudmedicine?

We did start collecting tracks for a Loudmedicine 2 but it kind of stalled.

I can't write, I can't play, but I can sing. :)

So one person does the drums then mails the cd to the next person who does the bass etc?

I'd be well up for that.

I'd be up for mixing it at the end.

I can borrow Gareth's studio for it.

Yes, that's what I meant, Protein....I can't exactly throw a band together myself (well, I could, but it would be arduous) but I can easily make the time to lay down some vocals.

I think it would be pretty cool...and as long as master copies were kept, the ability to hand off to someone for any or all different "layers" is possible.
