As cartoon pop-punk bands go, they're not bad.

I heard a song of there's on the Uni Radio Station, and I like it... can't remember what the song was, but it made me laugh.

Their singles are catchy throwaway punk-influenced pop. Their albums are very weak. Don't bother.

I just figured out who you are all talking about, after hearing this song for about the past month:

1985 Lyrics

Woohoohoo x 2

Debbie just hit the wall
She never had it all
One Prozac a day
Husband's a CPA
Her dreams went out the door
When she turned twenty four
Only been with one man
What happened to her plan?

She was gonna be an actress
She was gonna be a star
She was gonna shake her ass
On the hood of Whitesnake’s car
Her yellow SUV is now the enemy
Looks at her average life
And nothing has been
Alright

Since Bruce Springsteen, Madonna
Way before Nirvana
There was U2 and Blondie
And music still on MTV
Her two kids in high school
They tell her that shes uncool
'Cause she's still preoccupied
With 19, 19, 1985

Woohoohoo
(1985)
Woohoohoo

She’s seen all the classics
She knows every line
Breakfast Club, Pretty In Pink
Even St. Elmo's Fire
She rocked out to Wham!
Not a big Limp Bizkit fan
Thought she'd get a hand
On a member of Duran Duran

Where's the mini-skirt made of snakeskin?
And who's the other guy that's singing in Van Halen?
When did reality become T.V.?
What ever happened to sitcoms, game shows?

(on the radio was)Springsteen, Madonna
Way before Nirvana
There was U2 and Blondie
And music still on MTV
Her two kids in high school
They tell her that shes uncool
'Cause she's still preoccupied
With 19, 19, 1985

Woohoohoo

She hates time; make it stop
When did Motley Crue become classic rock? (classic rock)
And when did Ozzy become an actor?
Please make this stop, stop, stop! (tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick)

And bring back Springsteen, Madonna
Way before Nirvana
There was U2 and Blondie
And music still on MTV
Her two kids in high school
They tell her that shes uncool
'Cause she's still preoccupied
With 1985

(Woohoohoo)

Bruce Springsteen, Madonna

I like the "when did Motley Crue become classic rock?" line...

Yep. :)

Part of the attraction for me, I guess, is that I graduated high school in 1985. :)

I got the album with 1985 on it. Lots of good songs, but the album, as a whole, sucks. It's kind of like listening to Genisis, after one song you kind of want to sock someone in the face.

I know every line to the Breakfast Club and I was born in 1985...
