So on November 5th will you be out in the freezing cold watching a Guy Fawkes being burned and some pathetic firework display? No of course not you'll be inside playing Football Manager 2005!

"Sports Interactive and SEGA have today announced the release date of their eagerly-awaited football management PC game, Football Manager 2005 for PC-CDROM and Mac. Football Manager 2005 the new football management simulation from the award-winning Sports Interactive team, the creators of the Championship ManagerŪ series, will be released across Europe on November 5th 2004."

I've just downloaded the Beta demo. Anyone else played it? Is it any good?

Yes it is good.

Also, there is a proper demo of the finished game out now. I imagine that is also good.

You people are homos for not posting about this game while I've been away.

You have, however, been posting about PES4 so I'll go read those threads now.....

played this a bit sunday.

I still think the game engine makes goalkeepers perform either really good or really badly to affect the result... and the navigation is completely fucked.

other than that I could feel the addiction bug biting again...

seems like the EIDOS version (Champ Man 5) is going to be delayed - not surprised really - can't help feeling that it was looking like a rushed process.

I'm getting used to it now, but it still really pisses me off that the squad screen never remembers how I want my players to be sorted.

Also, why doesn't the Shortlist screen display your transfer budget? Seems a bizarre and arbitrary decision on their part to leave it off that screen.

And why, when viewing a news item that says a team is trying to buy/loan one of my players, do I STILL have to change screens twice to accept or reject the proposal? They should have found a away to integrate that with the news item.

I don't like the tactics sliders, either.

And why the hell doesn't the damn game remember that I always want to view matches in split view, with the overview switiching to highlights on the left and my team's player ratings on the right? Why the bloody hell does the game not remember how you've set it and keep it that way!

It's still a good game, though.

OK, due to copies leaking out from sales in Italy and Spain, they have brought forward the release date to today. Just got mine from HMV.

I'm liking the Demo more and more as I get used to it, but haven't got the full game.

This is a public service bump.
