I bought the DVD of Rushmore in an HMV 3 for 20 sale ages ago, and I'd not watched it until last night. What a mistake.

*It's about a 15yr old kid called Max Fisher who's a pupil at the elite Rushmore Academy. He's editor of the school newspaper, and captain or president of loads of clubs and societies. He's also one of the worst students in the school. His world is rocked when he finds himself competing with his friend, the steel tycoon Herman Blume (Bill Murray), for the affextions of 1st grade teacher Miss Cross.

It's a really funny film. Bill Murray plays the kind of role he's really good at, and the rest of the cast, including Jason Schwartzman as Max, are all really good too. If you like subtle but stupid comedys then check it out. I didn't want it to finish.

I got it from my sister for xmas via my amazon wish list, and i really liked it too.

Very quirky and funny, great use of music, some really nice ideas and some brilliant characters.

I thought 'Rushmore' was a hoot when I saw it- reminiscent in some respects of 'Election' .

Lovely dry humour.
