How the hell did they pack more on this single disc than most manage on 2?

Great film, incidentally. I loved the satire in the first 30 minutes- that if the dead started walking in the streets of London nobody would actually notice them.

That part is probably my favourite scene

Zombie movie parody (British).

Oh dear.

Lazarus and the Gimp

It's a black comedy. Described as "A romantic comedy. With zombies". I liked it.

Funkodrom

I liked it too.

Hmmm....I'm still deciding whether to spend significant dollars on the Forsyte saga.
Hmmm...zombie parody or Masterpiece theater...hmmm?

MOBIUS

Zombie parody every time...:D

Forsyte saga is horribly overrated. For a great British drama, check this out-

Ooooh...that looks good...hopefully it comes in my region DVD.
Good lord I'm becoming an anglophile. I think my ancestral spawning genes must be kicking in.
Soon I'll be in England, respreading the Arringdale/Moon/Curtis line of no good layabouts...

Edge of Darkness is awesome and even includes a token yank so that it isn't too much of a culture shock for you...;)

BigGameHunter

We can all use a token yank now and then.

I got a DVD of this for my birthday. We watched it. Definately worth watching. :D

its wicked. I like the way all the action happens in the background for about 30 mins. I love Simon Pegg.

You should watch this and Spaced BGH

Saw this last night. Hilarious, especially the *SPOILER* choreographed beatdown scene in the pub.

I especially loved how he flipped through the channels in boredom, only to deprive himself of the news of the zombiefication going on all around him. Sadly, this seemed like it could really happen.
Good satire and a sort of depressing message imbedded, really.

You'll definately love Spaced them. There are 2 series available on DVD (both 6 episodes), and a box set of both series + loads of extras, which I haven't seen, but is bound to be great.

Amazon.com don't seem to list it, but you can probably order it through Amazon.co.uk if you have a compatable DVD player...

Finally saw this this morning. Great movie. Hilarious.

Re: The channel changing. Best part is, he's changing the channel and still getting the right news because all the talking heads are dove-tailing together.

Yes. That bit is really well done, and of course, that's all done with real TV people... although you might not get them there. ;)

No might about it.

Tons of shout outs to other zombie movies too. Rage virus, Ash, Deadites, fast moving zombies...and so on and so forth.

Yes. It's very much a tribute/piss take. :)

Really a great movie, despite all the British people in it.

You'd really like Spaced if you can get hold of that over there. It's that kind of humour but with a wider range of geek humour to shoot at... Simon Peg (the main guy in Spaced) is the star and works in a comic shop...

Venom

I'll see if I can get it. Maybe it will be my excuse to finally get a region free player.

Cauhgt the latter half of this last night while channel surfing. Very good. Now i need to see the start.

Loved the bit where they meet up with the other band of six who are like their dopplegangers (including Matt lucas cameo as fat guy on mobile)

I've got it on DVD, but as it was ITV2 it'll be on again within a week or so.
