I know there's lots of you out there who go to a whole multitude of gigs, and that many of the regular forum contributors don't much like the general music tastes of your correspondent here. However, there seems to be a conspicuous lack of alternative copy streaming into the music section here at Counterglow. If you're a regular, shame on your inactivity, and if you're new here, please don't hesistate to contribute! New material and differing opinions are always welcome. Diversity is strength, or something like that...

Unfortunately I'm terrible at writing reviews, otherwise I would have volunteered one or two by now.

Err... I think I suck at writing reviews as well, but I'll probably give it a try anyway in the near future. Next gig I'm going to is a metal festival in three weeks or so, I might try that. Maybe.

I've written loads of local Reading band/CD reviews

Ok, so... If (hypothetically) I had written a review of a gig, to whom should I send it in order to get it published on the site?

Erm, Mike, Nav or Johan, I think.

I'm still working on that review of 'Process Of Belief' by Bad Religion, even though they've released another album since :D

Do we still want music reviews?

I have written a handful lately which might see the light of day on a bookstore/music store website in the near future.

I'd do a review of the new Down album, but I don't think many here like that kind of music.

Doesn't matter, part of the thing with music reviews can be telling people about stuff you like that they might not have heard before. Most of Laz's reviews are like that.

I'm a big fan of Down, as a matter of fact. Haven't listened to the new album yet, so would certainly be interested in reading a review.

I'll be going to the Down show at the Roseland Ballroom later this month. Can't wait. It kicked arse last time.

 I hate all of the new crap. It is too loud, you cannot understand the lyrics, its all whinny crap, and you can't even dance to it. :shoot:
