How do you cut out a logo or picture properly so it displays on a website background nicely. Like the counterglow logo for example. I've done my artwork and I've saved it using the "save for web" option in Photoshop and I've made the background transparent but I kind of get a rough edge.

Like this.

I had to sharpen all the edges to get rid of all these white bits that were around the logo, now it kind of looks furry. This one looks nice though.

Maybe you should eat more. You look a little skinny. and kind of charred. Infact you look a bit like a match.

http://www.counterglow.com/images/cg_logo2.gif Yes but have a look at it against the 'light' work style ;)

I think it is because when you make the background transparant it only makes one colour transparant. But some background coloured pixles are present in your logo (around the edges) so it chops them out as well. Maybe you need to first get rid of the background coloured pixles in your logo.

Please note: the above advice is based purly on speculation

Oh yeah, I meant change the pixles that are of the background colour to some that are more like the rest of the logo.
I think there is some kind of "find and replace" command.

Protein, in Photoshop try placing your logo on a transparant background just bigger than the actual image, and then simply saving it as a .gif file. I don't think you need to bother fucking around with the save for web options at all, especially if it's just one colour to begin with.
