I got to work today to find out my copy of Frengers by Mew had arrived.

What an amazing album. Huge sounding Danish indy/post rock.

I know, I was there when we all saw them at the CTC gig and if you had found that thread I'd have been posting in it. I just hadn't got round to buying it yet.

*EiF* just buy Frengers.

I downloaded it the next day (or maybe the day after). Does that count?

Hands up if you think Mew are dull.

Hands up if you think scandinavians are dull.

Me too. I downloaded half of the album the next day. I have the rest to look forward to. It is so brilliantly produced that I listen to Mew before I mix anything nowerdays - to hear what I aspire to.

Think halfway between Travis and GYBE.

That's not true. They sound like all of the 4AD bands mixed with a little infusion of dance production. Download something and make up your mind. Try Snow Brigade.
