Don't know if it has been posted before, but here is a short game that actually uses shaders and is only 96k in size. Doesn't look bad either. http://theprodukkt.com/

Nice game...

Odd, I haven't heard of it failing. That sucks because it shows how much you can fit into 96k and then you compare that to 3Gb games like FarCry and you start wondering if things are just very bloated to begin with in the industry after seeing a 96k game with Q2 poly counts and usage of shaders.

For one thing, those big games would probably not require a 1.5 GHz processor with 512 MB of RAM and a Radeon 8500 to run Quake 2 polygon counts.

Now for really impressive compression...

It crashed on me too.

Crash...in-to me-yah!

Is it supposed to look that red? Shouldn't there be some way of exitting other than rebooting your system?

Aren't you supposed to know how to use a computer?

He claims to be studying game programming, yet he doesn't know to press ESC to get to the option menu and then go down to the Exit option and press return.

ESC, gee that's a good idea for my games. I guess after I pressed it and it just stood there loading for a half hour I kinda gave up on it.

Well it has to decompress obviously, so that is what takes so much time as it is entirely processor power, and it seems to be fairly heavy as I notice it is a tad long. Once it is running though it is runs impressively in looks and in coding for it's size. Not a fun game by any means, but a pretty cool techdemo.
