...and grows on you and grows on you and you find that you aren't listening to anything else because it all seems a bit shit in comparison?

Coheed and Cambria, In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth: 3

Their third album, all their albums are (apparently) continuing the story of the two characters Coheed and Cambria.

Is there a song called 'Sweet' on there? That's my favourite from the random selection of C&C Mp3's that I have.

Nope. It's very much an album album. Lots of returning musical themes and flows etc.

You mean all their songs sound the same?

I meant - like the Mars Volta album.

So it's not just a concept album, but a continuation of a serial theme established over several concept albums?

No punk points for Funko!

Yes. And then I worry that I'll get sick of it so I put it aside for a while. Then when I pick it up again I find that I'm sick of it.

I saw C&C live with Thursday and Further Seems Forever. See, that emo scene produces some stuff you like after all...

Of course, I really like this and the Jimmy Eat World Bleed American album. And of course I love At the Drive-In who seem to have got lumped into the same category for no reason. Out of those I'd say that only JEW were really what I would call 'emo' though. Calling C&C or AtD-I emo is just shit unimaginative journalism.

There's good stuff in every genre, and a lot of every genre is complete toss.
