The gig and the CD promise to showcase some of the greatest talent in the area at the moment. The party will feature live music from Big Wednesday, My Luminaries, Sonic Undermind and :heckler - four of the most established and respected unsigned bands in the county.

Apart from local bands.

Still, we can quote the BBC as saying "one of the most established and respected unsigned bands in the county."

And you could always add a sneaky "r" into county.

Haha, I think Gramercy's picture is a lot more reprasentative of the area.

Not really, most of Berkshire is really pretty countryside which we never go to.

Like Bracknell?

Most of Berkshire is pretty countryside.

There are a few crappy towns dotted around in it.

And now the Reading Chronicle is getting in on the act

http://icberkshire.icnetwork.co.uk/0600whatson/0200music/content_objectid=13964928_method=full_siteid=50102 _headline=-The%2Dclick%2Dof%2Dthe%2Dpops-name_page.html

Apparently there are also reviews of the bands in there so I shall have to buy a copy

Chronicle's review of our song

Reading rockers who contrast raawk style guitar workouts with Streets-style, geezerish vocals that manage to make lyrics like "take out your pen and I'll protract it, make a comment and I'll retract it" sound perfectly reasonable. For better or worse, a band that actually earns the tag "unique".

It's the best review out of all 17 bands.

Is there an e-mail address where we can ask if we can quote that on the website?

protein

Just quote it. Don't put Reading Chronicle. Just put Paul Kirkley, Chronicle.

OK, that's what I did.

Still, we can quote the BBC as saying "one of the most established and respected unsigned bands in the county." you'd write that "[one] of the most established and respected unsigned bands in the county."

Wouldn't you? being that you've subtly changed the copy if not the meaning.

I quoted it in context.
