I got :

Serious Sam
Deus Ex (my mother has my original disk now:o)
Project IGI (don't know if anyone has played this)

Some pretty good stuff on knock down. Two sets of offers - 3 for 22 or 3 for 12.

Oh, and Civ III is still 35.:D

Guess what I'd prefer

I've got a friend who's played IGI, he seemed to like it. He doesn't have the most detailed eye when it comes to flaws and such, but as long as you're shooting people, it can't be all bad.

My mum loves Serious Sam, it's the sort of thing she likes.

IGI is nice but one BIG drawback. No savegame within mission (even less than Op Flash). Until you get the hang of it (if you get the hang of it) the basics become pretty wearing.

If there's a save game crack somewhere for it, I'd recommend it as a goody from the bargain bin (neat and runs on low end comps too without chugging)

Play co-op, it's so much fun!

I'd be up for that as well.

I am probably going to spend another 22 quid today and so I'll pick a copy up for myself too.

One of the few games my wife did play. Coincidence?

My mum still runs up Wolfenstein (the original) and Doom. SHe loved Blakestone and I am trying to get her into Deus Ex (which she is finding a bit hard - she is 72!)

And today's 22.

Serious Sam (for me this time)
Thief 2
Fallout 1 and 2

Thief 2, if it is half as good as the original, is quality.

I think this thread has taught us one thing. RC's mom is one of my people.

I think you'd get on. You'd probably have to shoot eachother, though.

She'd probably be the quicker draw.

She's a bit deaf and has the soundcard up so loud that the neighbours' kids complain that it distracts them from their homework...

I'm a bit fat. And a bit slow. And a whole lot lazy. The neighbors complain that if they complain too loud I'll shoot them.
