My other new album listen of the day.

Hmmm... interesting. Doesn't follow Pantera very well. Recommended for people who like Mogwai.

I also have "The Very Best Of The Smiths" here which I got for my birthday (My brother went shopping in Fopp for me). I can't bring myself to listen to that one yet but I will give it a try (can't say I'll give it a fair unprejudiced try but there you go.)

The Very Best Of The Smiths is crap, as are most "Best Of's".

I would recommend some Smiths albums to you, but I know you'll hate them.:)

Well they are shit.

Gramercy Riffs

They don't stand a chance against such a negative mindset.

I know but listening to The Smiths is never going to make me feel warm and happy like Pantera does.

Funkodrom

They aren't really shit. I just can't enjoy them.

Gramercy Riffs

They are an aquired taste and certainly not for everyone.

Personally, I love them but equally I can see why people would hate them.

I guess my opinion of Morrissey is on a par with protein's opinion of Axl Rose. :cute:

Well, I hate them both! :D

Protein and Axl Rose?

Funkodrom

Oh, I think Axl is a complete cocksocket as well.

I'd love to know just how much money he paid Buckethead & Brain to join that joke of a band.

I quite liked Appetite For Destruction, but most of what they've done since then has been pretty impressively arse IMO.

Appetite is a great album. Agree that what came later was sometimes quite a lot of arse.

Which Sigur Rós album?

Funkodrom
09-01-2004, 19:23:00
I dunno! It's in blue cardboard with white on the cover. Kind of a stylised baby.

Ágætis Byrjun. I love that album.

Lazarus and the Gimp

Both their albums are great. They bridge the gap between the Cocteau Twins and My Bloody Valentine.

Sean

Both? There are three that I know of, and I haven’t even been paying attention.

(Von, ÁB, and ( ).)

While we’re at it, ( ) starts and ends with two of their best songs. The in-between bit isn’s as strong as that of Ágætis Byrjun.

I thought AB was their first album.

Listening to it again. It is really, really good.

Sean

You like Olsen Olsen now then?

Debaser
15-01-2004, 19:58:35
I like both Mary-Kate and Ashley. Why?

Sean

2,574,622,103.

The number of times I have heard that joke.

Funkodrom

AB I have no idea what Olsen Olsen is.

Sean

Funkodrom

Ah.

The track listing is very well hidden.
