Klemt echolette tape echo + 50 watt amp

The band I was playing with bought it in 1980 for "only" 300 DM (+ 2 speakers).

The echo was pretty bad, because one of the little wheels was broken and so the speed was too slow, resulting in a pitch shifting effect (terrible). We tried to fix it with adhesive tape, resulting in some kind of ghostly vibrato.

The amp was quite nice (tubes!!!) but it ate the fuses so we replaced the fuse by a piece of metalic wrapper.

We finally found out that it was not really a good idea when we were playing in an old shack of a fire station. The had a different idea of 220 V ...

Just a Sunn practice amp, going out in a blaze of glory with everything cranked up to 10. The Viking Funeral of musical death.

Does that mean the shock mount won't be needed? Do you know much about mics? I'm going to get myself a cheap pair of Samson CO3s when I get back from Thailand or possibly even in Thailand.

No, they're getting the mic fixed and keeping it away from the guy that broke it. This is a small radio station with a tight budget, nothing is surplus. :D

I don't know tons about mics...looked the Samson up, nice price and the specs look good. But the only important thing is how you think it sounds...I know, duh...
