catch a fire or whatever it's called

anyone got it?

i swear every review i've read describes it as a refinement of the first one

that to me sounds like a recipe for disaster, but i haven't seen a bad review yet

guess i'll buy it soon anyway

The people on the Berkshire Live site seem to be saying, don't bother buying it, just listen to the first album again and you'll have heard the new one.

OR you could listen to some good music instead.

The people I was talking about are actual Strokes fans. :)

I'm an actual Strokes fan. I considered buying it this morning, but I have a hunch (based on live Mp3's of a few of the tracks) that it's gonna be, not necessarily shit, just really average, and I don't want to tarnish my appreciation of the last album (which I think is superb) by association. Having said that, I do quite like the single.

I bought this yesterday (as well as the new Muse, Super Furries and Outkast albums).

Only listened to it once through but i really liked it. It certainly is very similar but most of the tracks got my toes tapping and head shaking and that's a good enough start for me.

I really, really liked the first Strokes album. SB first played it in my car on the way down to Reading a long, long time ago. So I went out and 'bought' it.

I'll go an aquire this one in the next week.
