For the few CM freaks that have not yet gotten CM2...

Battlefront.com is shipping a "new-and-improved" special edition of its acclaimed game, Combat Mission II: Barbarossa to Berlin, to retail stores. Previously, it was only available from Battlefront's online store. CM2:BB features 160 different scenarios, 300 different vehicles, 600 troop types, and level editor.

They're getting just as bad as DVD companies pumping out 5 different versions of the same movie with extra features. Fuckers.

I'll still wait for CMAK. So, unless my wife surprises me, I won't have it.

The SE versions just have a lot of extra scenarios and custom graphics files available, if I remember right.

Could that be why I mentioned that? 160 Scenarios? ;)

I take it the new vehicles and troops is nothing more then what CM2 had to start with though? unless it's skins?

Skins.

Ah. Thought it might be that. That's what they did with their previous CM Special Edition, didn't they?

Almost everything included in the game you could probably hunt down and download.

CM has so many free downloads available as to be overkill. I haven't even scratched the surface of skins and mods available (covering the whole game from interface to target lines to uniforms, etc) and have still changed the entire look. I don't even remember what it looked like originally.
That's one of the cool things about CM...a very active and persistent online mod community.

It makes me sick when I go out there looking for stuff. I just get overwhelmed.

Yep have you got CMMOS though. It makes handling the mods much more easy

Why are battlefront shipping old versions of Championship Manager?

I didn't even have to open this thread to know that was going to be your reply.
