I should mention the deadine is going to be extended for at least another week.

I need to finish mine up at any rate and i have it on good authority there may be one or two others on the way...

I just wrote mine. A little underdeveloped, but I'm generally happy with it. Maybe I'll read it again sometime and see if there are any mistakes.

DaShi

So, what were the words?

King_Ghidra
15-10-2003, 13:38:09
???

DaShi
15-10-2003, 13:48:16
Ah, I see. I dismissed that as an option because from my perspective in the story the narrator seemed to be reading those words as he narratorates.

King_Ghidra

when i wrote '???' i meant 'what the fuck do you mean?' not '??? is the answer to your question'.

if you're asking what the words were that were written on the wall then you're asking for an own goal

if you're asking what the words were that were written on the wreath then they are purposefully not specfied and are not important

at the end, the narrator's mind moves from the words written on the wreath for his friend to the words he mentions at the start of the story which remind him of his friend

Yeah, I got lost in there somewhere. Snagged my shirt sleeve on that damn wreath.

I really should write something for one of these stories soon.

I've just read all the ones from this series. I like the variety of styles. K_G's story is sad, so is DaShi's in a different way both about loss but DaShi's much more subtly.

Debut from Mad Squirrel is good, I want to know what happens in the rest of that story. The dialogue kind of reminds me of Han and Leia.

Let me just say for the 4th time, I really want to enter one of these contests.

Darkstar

I really liked it, but why the nod to board-speak at the end? Rather spoils it for me...

Cool story, but I have a question: what happened in the intervening eleven days?

I had an outstandingly excellent idea for a story for this thread - finally. I'd been waiting for one to come along, and it did, just as I was drifting off to sleep. I can't for the life of me remember it.
