View Full Version : What's in a name?

Scud Wallaby

Been playing Ultima Online for a year now and decided that my character named 'Scud Wallaby' (i've got no imagination...) needed a change of name. Scud Wallaby isn't really a name that evokes images of heroism and daring...

So I changed my characters name to Sorrin Tasseus, who was a heroic character in a fantasy story that I tried to write 15 years ago. Immediately other characters have started to talk to me. No-one spoke to Scud Wallaby; maybe the very name Scud Wallaby struck fear in the hearts of men and children and Sorrin Tasseus is deemed a more affable fellow.

In ten minutes, three people have struck up conversations with Sorrin, but with Scud it was three people in a year (including King Ghidra...)

Weird...
