Anyone no how to turn this fucker off on XP? Keep getting spam through it and cant figure out how to block it.

Control Panel -> Admin Tools -> Services, and right click "Messenger", go to Properties. Then hit Stop and select "Disabled" from the dropdown

That's the first damned service I disable when I build a system. Nothing like having someone send a netsend command to format your drive.

Yep. MS in their infinite wisdom neglected to set up services in a way that the user could run them without opening ports to the outside.
