Singer Robert Palmer has died in Paris of a heart attack. He was 54. It has not been suggested by anyone that his death was in any way cocaine related. Definately not.

Famous for songs such as Addicted To Love and err... some others. He might have once been shagging Elkie Brookes.

And not at all famous for a wonderful album he did with members of the Meters many eons ago, sigh. Sad.

Despite his chart success he shunned the rock 'n' roll lifestyle. "I loved the music, but the excesses of rock 'n' roll never really appealed to me at all," The Associated Press quoted him as saying.

"I couldn't see the point of getting up in front of a lot of people when you weren't in control of your wits."

Well...heart attacks can kill you pretty young, coke related or not...now, to see if I had him picked in my dead pool...

I have one of his greatest hit CDs. Whenever I wanted a brisk workout with the weights, I'd tag all the faster, beat heavy ones and put them on repeat play. Worked wonders.

Never liked his stuff much. Still, rather unfortunate, etc.

I hope someone says "etc." when I'm eulogized.
If I'm eulogized, that is.

What about if you're euthanized?

"Okay, insert the IV, etc."

Could happen.

Doesn't Michael Barrimore have one of those? :D

There was that Russian Pairs skater who died before he turned thirty, I believe.

I have a cd by Robert Palmer with the first 10 songs being pretty uptempo, and the next 9 are really soft. Weird combination.
