The guy who I'm a lodger with has a 10-year-old (or thereabouts) daughter who comes there every other weekend. She and a group of three friends around the same age are currently clustered around his PC playing a game.

Are they playing Dress Up My Little Pony Playhouse? Barbie Goes Shopping As A Glamorous Pop Star? Betty Sphagetti Zany Cootie Escape?

Fuck that.

They're playing Counterstrike. U Go Girls!

Do a search for Sid Meier's SimBetty Sphagetti Zany Cootie Escape

the RTS version is just out

Yeah, but it's unbalanced. The Betty Spaghetti rush is too hard to beat. i think the Cootie Coils need to be made more powerful, or cheaper.

I have been playing a bit online but I keep getting spanked by teenage girls. :(

My nine-year-old twin girls play Diablo 2 almost exclusively. They've finished the game, too, which is something I didn't think they'd be able to do for a while yet.

That doensn't sound so bad to me.

Humm... my 10 year old and 6 year old sisters love FPSes... Doom and Quake are their long time favorites.

DS, I thought you were an old timer the way you talk, but you actually have sisters that age? I figured you were racing with OW for geriatric of the year. :D Seems I was wrong.

My dad went back to have some more kids... he was just too much in a hurry to wait on grand-kids. His mistake. ;)

And he got daughters in the process - even worse as a son being out all night, well hell, the boy needs to get drunk eventually. A daughter, that's a lot of Tums he'll be taking.

Yeppers. My dad was a scummy musician for a while... you know, long hair, played music, did the night club scenes, all to maximize the scoring of the chicks. And he started chasing tail early, although he didn't figure out how to be cool until he graduated from school and managed to get into a band that could actually PLAY their instruments...

He's already taken to menacing any boys (with baseball bats, weed whackers, and the dogs) that come over or meet up with Racheal (the 10 year old) for study group or group projects. He's going to die of stress by the time she's 17. ;) And there's hi other daughter just a couple of years behind that Rachel...

YEAH Let's be all happy and jovial about DS's old dad dying of stress in a few years. If he even makes it that far.

So it is KG and his ilk fueling girly girl games sales then, eh?

30-09-2003, 21:08:23
Yeppers. That and the relatives that have no idea what their nieces and grand-daughters are into/playing.

30-09-2003, 21:15:05
i bet there's more than few people out there who don't know what 'games' their nieces and grand daughters were playing :o

one of my cowies has his 21 yr old niece coming to stay with him and his gf for a while soon, that should be interesting

Maybe you should offer to show her around the town's nightlife?

KG: Your saying he's going to have to hide his porn on the computer now?

01-10-2003, 08:37:42
Why, does she like a challenge finding it?

I keep making the mistake of talking my sister into trying new games, which always leads to us fighting over who gets to play. Myst, Riven, Myst 3, Diablo 2 and Baldurs Gate 2 so far. Luckily Ive stopped telling her when Ive bought new games now.
