it seems it's just coming out in the UK??

I saw it about a year ago, absolutely brilliant

Yes. Just now. Obviously to attempt to steamroller over Belleville Rendez-vous. They were showing a trailer for SA before BVR, and only then did it occur to me it would be dubbed :(.

argh!!
I saw Princess Mononoke dubbed in american (bill bob thornton and claire danes) and it was freakish

there must be a way to see it in original version (one hope)

BTW it's wonderful to see both SA and BRV (although SA is superior IMO), both use anime in a very distinctive, poetic and different way => they complement each other, as would Nemo

IMDb says 10 October.

Oh, and heard on the radio that the dubbed version is the equal of the subtitled version.

You want original Princess Mononoke, well, you should already have the right coded DVD player (region 2 :) ) so, just order it from an anime place online. I thought I remembered J-List or JAST sending me a notice they had it available for out shipping... in original form. (Google J-List or JAST...)

Nemo is now the #1 box office taker of all time. Wonder when the merchandising catches up with Star Wars? ;)

Of course you can buy it on DVD, but that doesn’t change the theatrical release, does it?

(Assuming he was referring to the theatrical release, that is. But as Billy Bob Thornton and Claire Danes would have been speaking in English, perhaps not.)

Original should mean in original language theatrical release. Should be letter box format as well. That's usually what they mean when they say original...

I saw Mononoke 3 times, and only once in english, thanks god

as for the radio saying 'it's the equal' (presumably for Spirited Away) I somehow doubt it.

Accents that don't belong (example : Aladdin speaking like a young californian) spoil the fun for me.

Actually, it really isn’t bad at all.

So he wanted to see it in original theatrical release format. But he could have seen dubbed it at the cinema or on DVD/video before that. The original theatrical release was in Japan.

Ok, so this thread is nearly 2yrs old...

Watched Spirited Away earlier today, fucking great film, might watch it again right now. I knew absolutely nothing about it before downloading it (which I did on the strength on me semi-girlfriends recommendation), and it's would probably go directly into my top 20 films ever list.

Just get the DVD. Most that have a dub also include the original soundtrack. My students will be watching Spirited Away this Friday as part of their 'make up' class.

I'm intrigued. Do you semi-shag each other? With a semi?

Is it a "booty call" thing? Or is Debaser some girl's cuddle bitch? The possibilities are semi-endless.
