Not only can you listen to their entire album on the BBC:

But apparently before they played the new song at Roskilde Bruce Dickenson asked if anyone had any recording equipment, and said that if anyone wanted to record the song and pass it round the internet it was fine with them. He also said if anyone wanted to download the album from the internet that was OK as well, on condition you bought it if you liked it.

At least someone gets it.

That said... having listened to it, it's not as good as the last album although there are some good Maiden songs on it.

Aw, bless. I almost regret wishing he'd get stabbed in the head during one of his fencing bouts.

A friend we gave Funko's Maiden tickets to said basically the same thing about the new stuff...not that great.

Hummm... not sure he gets it. He may have just accepted how things are. After all, how are they going to stop it? Sue a bunch or 10 and 12 year olds?

Just saw a couple of ads for their latest album. I thought it was for some new video game, with the graphics they used in the ad. Didn't look like that good a game, and the sound clips they played of it sounded pretty humdrum background tracks to me. I hope that wasn't taken from the video for the new album...

Yeah it was. Maiden have a history of really horrible videos. :)

Accepting reality and making the best of it is still better than what a lot of people in the music business are doing.

i don't mind st anger much now, my cowie plays it a lot in his car and i've come to quite like some of it. Shame they've so resolutely decided to avoid doing solo's.

Even with the best will in the world, having seen them do brill at Reading..and despite kinda liking the first couple of songs... i really do switch off.
Must try harder.
