I'm playing it now.

It's a bit slow.

It's reassuring that they spent so long developing a brilliant 3D engine in order to let you watch people walk along pavements, and not be able to interact with them.

I don't understand.

I was just reading the review at Gameshit. They didn't seem too impressed. 6.9 was their score. 69 DUDE!

In fairness, it's strangely compelling. The music is genuinely lovely.

Sounds boring. If it is like the Sims, it can fuck off...that game drove me nuts...telling people when to poo poo and pee pee...ridiculous.

Imagine the Sims on valium, but with sections where you are compelled to just watch them talk gibberish to each other, and can't give them horrible wallpaper in revenge.

!

The Sims on VALIUM? Oh my! That sounds like a death nell.

Venom, a 69 from Gamespot is a 0 out of a 10 scale in reality, isn't it?

Hey, at least at my house the "characters" in the "game" actually get quite a kick out of flushing the toilet for me.
Who knew parenthood would be so fun!

Don't worry BGH. They'll get over that. Now, trying to flush the kitten and your wife's birthcontrol pills and your keys... that will be fun for them well up into their early twenties...

Hmmm...cat is full grown, wife is on the IUD, keys too heavy...that just leaves my stash...damn!

Keys are never too heavy... unless you got one of those weak Greenie Tree Hugging Drip Flush Toilets. At which point, it's to weak to flush a man's serious business. I bet Venom's toilet can flush your keys away!

I once had to quad flush an industrial toilet at a sports arena.

Hell...I have to flush twice when I piss.

Well done Elixir. I thank you. After playing R;tR for a couple of days, I realised how like Gangsters it was.

So, I reinstalled Gangsters, got the last patch and am having a great time playing that. Previously, I only had it on the portable and it is so much better on a faster computer and a larger screen. Graphics not that flash but fun all the same.

Again - thanks Elixir.

So I gather you don't like RtR?

It is Gangsters with eye candy. Nothing that wrong with it but, really, not worth the wait.

And this game sounded so promising a few years ago...

BigGameHunter

Yeah, didn't they all?
Don't tell me you're still falling for that "promising" shit?

The only game worth a damn is Combat Mission. Period.

RC - I found gangsters almost unplayable. It has an interface that would make MOO3 look good and so much of the game seems to revolve around random events I found it irritating
