View Full Version : Terminator 3

I felt it my duty to contribute to the hype. Dunno why. What's it like, good?

23-07-2003, 18:25:06
Good and fun. But not as good as the others.

23-07-2003, 20:44:12
It's better than The Hulk, IMO.
Fun action packed thriller with a twist that will allow the series to go on and on and on...and the new Terminatrix is a hotty and appears naked.
Get some!

24-07-2003, 03:21:40
She appears naked in a "rear"view mirror for about 2 seconds.

24-07-2003, 04:51:51
Hey, that's worth the 8 bucks to me...
And there are some good ass shots of her on the way to that shot...you must have been looking down at the giant pile of candy in your lap, trying to decide which bag to inhale first.

Hm, well a third is pushing it, even the Aliens series couldn't do a third and get away with it. If T3 is good & fun, it must be worth a looksee.

Define good.

Hey, qweeg you still owe me for the last cinema trip ;)

24-07-2003, 20:03:06
n. (gooooood)
Any glimpse, image or loving glance at a female human's naked ass, provided the woman is not over the age of 45 and has a HWP load carry.

24-07-2003, 20:10:45
We see Arnold's titties we should see hers too.

25-07-2003, 00:10:50
I found it rather disappointing. There were good fun action scenes, so I never really felt like I'd wasted my money... but all the "tribute to T2" moments just made me realise how much better they were in their original context, rather than making me like T3. And I find it very depressing that I have far more respect for the kid from T2 than for John Conner in T3. The man is a moron. And the terminators (both of them) displayed far less intelligence than the previous ones. My girlfriend's theory is that this time they only had the arm Arnie left behind in T2 to go on, rather than the arm and a chip, so SkyNet and thus the terminators are a lot more stupid. :)

Not to mention the way it turned the message of T2 into "don't bother, you're fucked either way".

But still, nice action scenes, quite a few laughs ("Put down your weapon....... and... the coffin!" :) ), and worth seeing just to say you've seen it.

25-07-2003, 11:48:21
I liked that it flipped the ending of T2 and made Sarah Conner wrong. And besides the point of all the movies came down to one thing, temporal causality, whereby Skynet sending the Terminators back not only allowed the creation of Skynet, but also the creation of the one who would destroy them.

25-07-2003, 13:04:12
Deeep, man. Possibly the deepest thing I've ever read Venom say. So obviously this is a film that makes you think. abit.

25-07-2003, 13:37:14
Wow your like the old guy in that other lame sci-fi flick with that guy from Bill and Ted's Adventure. Duuude.

Yea I pretty much agree with the whole everyone got stupider bit. And wanted more pictures of the world blowing up. Like shots of famous landmarks getting blow to bits. And less shadow when the chick terminator is walking around naked.

01-08-2003, 21:40:20
Went to see it this evening. twas ok. Nice action, bit of surprise at the end with the inevitability of nuclear warfare. I guess T4 will be a real sci-fi movie.

04-08-2003, 10:00:06
I hope there is no T4, that would just degrade the Terminator legend further. As it is this was a film that didn't do too much harm, but let's not push our luck.

There's some points that didn't make sense, forget the whole time-travel paradox thing, what I want to know is how come Skynet decided to wipe out humanity? If it's priority was survival, it's best bet would have been to presevre the human race that created and maintains it's environment, and in fact to increase the number of PCs and servers worldwide. Instigating nuclear Armaggedon is the surest way to destroy globaly distributed software. How's it going to run now? Where's it going to get it's energy from? Even it's satalittes will eventually entrop-out...

Nuclear war is the closest a globe-wide networked intelligence can get to a twelve hour taquilla binge really, an attempt to physicaly wipe out as many of its own brain-cells [computer-networks] as possible in one sitting. In fact Skynets actions indicate very strong suicidal tendancies indeed. Maybe the silly AI just didn't really think things through.

I really fancied the Terminatrix, even when she kept on killing people, I couldn't help it, I just go for the wrong sort of woman I guess. Brilliant special effects, loved the fight scenes and how the T-X somehow seemed even more consistantly unruffled after being bashed through walls and things then the T-1000 before her. A good scattering of humorous moments through the film, and a really good ending, sad and dark and terrifying, that's a good combination.

I like explosions, and nuclear explosions are the best, my complaint is there should have been much more of them, and seen from all kinds of interesting angles, and that the missles shouldn't have detonated on impact with the ground, they should have been airbursts a few hundred feet above ground, for maximum footprint.

T4 and T5 will eventually lead up to The Matrix. :D

08-08-2003, 07:14:14
saw it yesterday
I quite liked it actually

maybe because I have a soft spot for Claire Danes. She's nothing spectacular, but she has an amazing charm (or at least it works on me)

08-08-2003, 11:58:00
That's because you're an idiot.

08-08-2003, 12:13:32
you don't find her charming?

08-08-2003, 12:23:01
Nope. She was fairly hot back when they made that MOD Squad movie. But she's getting uglier.

08-08-2003, 12:28:19
she not 'plastically' pretty, as the atomic bomb terminatrix Loken, for exemple, and she has a huge nose, to start with

still, all her defects work very well together, IMO, and there is a certain 'light' (both light and lightness) about her that I really like

08-08-2003, 12:31:18
More power to you. I'm sure you and her nose will be very happy together.

08-08-2003, 12:32:43
I told Julia I found her pretty this morning, and she gave me shit all the way to work

08-08-2003, 12:37:31
Julia thinks she's ugly too, doesn't she?

08-08-2003, 12:40:13
everytime I say a girl is cute, she fires a typical female counter barrage ("fat, look stupid, too much make up, the bitch doesn't know how to dress, etc.")

08-08-2003, 12:58:05
And you just called her typical. I'm sure she loves to be called average.

08-08-2003, 13:08:47
I see what you're doing here, smarti pants
but she doesn't have time to lurk these days, too much work (unlike me)

08-08-2003, 13:11:02
Dammit. That would have been fun.

08-08-2003, 13:11:57
you're evil

(I know you'll take that as a compliment, but it's not)

08-08-2003, 13:15:04
Yes, yes I am.

08-08-2003, 13:19:38
I can almost see the smirk of self satisfaction

08-08-2003, 13:21:03
I can see it in the reflection of my monitor.

08-08-2003, 13:25:44
there's already a nice little place booked for you in hell

08-08-2003, 13:54:23
Yeah, it's called CEO.

08-08-2003, 13:59:53
ooouu the top boss will fry you for this misplaced ambition

08-08-2003, 14:16:00
The Devil digs ambition.

08-08-2003, 14:21:00
I doubt it
the old man sacked him from heaven precisely because he wanted the top jop

I'm sure he duplicates that on his minions

08-08-2003, 14:38:27
I guess we'll just have to find out.

08-08-2003, 14:41:51
I can't wait

08-08-2003, 14:59:11
Do all Frenchman love big noses because of your affection for Cyrano, or what?
Clowns must be very popular over there...

Actually, I must admit, I've always been much more attracted to women with some kind of "flaw" than the "perfect" form...a slightly large feature, a mote in the eye, whatever.
Damn you for making me eventually agree, Maroule!

08-08-2003, 15:05:04
he he
if all big noses came with claire danes attached to them, yes, I'd be a firm supporter
but they rarely do, in fact

08-08-2003, 15:08:49
I dated one girl, a very complicated and dark and somewhat disturbed girl, who had a slightly longish nose. But my God, she was built like a 1940's pinup girl, was solid muscle under all those curves and could literally kick a man's ass if needed...rode a motorcycle, worked in the forest, etc...it's very disconcerting to date woman who are more macho than yourself, which seems to be the case in my past...sigh...I guess someone has to be the nurturing little bitch...and that someone must be me.
How embarassing.

08-08-2003, 15:20:19
did you talk to Asher about it?

08-08-2003, 15:24:53
Uh...no, Asher and I prefer to discuss much more important matters, like genitalia and its potential modifications.

08-08-2003, 15:27:46
I bet

anyway, strong/fit women are normally quite interesting to fuck, after a first uneasy moment (when you realise they're more toned up than you are)

08-08-2003, 15:44:02
Naw...I've got a tongue that would put Gene Simmons to shame...it can be attached to any body, really.

08-08-2003, 15:49:17
tha's it, I'm leaving forever now

15-08-2003, 12:46:23
Saw this film and woke up the next and completely forgot that I'd seen it. Thats a bad sign really. Fucking disappointment :(

15-08-2003, 18:12:47
Lighten up, Francis.

15-08-2003, 18:41:18
You just made the list.

15-08-2003, 20:43:45
The list of people who are sicker than you?

15-08-2003, 21:26:07
I think it's the list of people he wants to emulate to appear "cooler".

15-08-2003, 22:24:46
I emulate no one. I am the trend setter.
