Played some of this at the weekend.

Think old monster fighting/building destroying game Rampage crossed with Tekken.

Nothing at all original. Not that brilliantly executed. Lot of flaws. Probably won't keep you interested for that long in single player... but...

Brilliant fun! And not just because you can throw King Ghidorah at skyscrapers and knock them down. Monsters are fun and destroying buildings is fun. You can even pick up buildings and throw them at your opponent. There's even a MP game mode where you have to try and destroy as many buildings as possible.

It's around very cheaply now, might be worth picking up for a multiplayer laugh if you have a GC but only if you think that giant fighting monsters leveling cities is cool.

The Xbox version is even better.

More gamemodes, better graphics. :)

Nothing comes close to Crush, Crumble, Chomp! Boy, that's a game that needs to be redone for modern times...

There are Gamecube games other than Zelda around?

Oh yeah, apparently Zelda is alright as well. :)

Hmmm...that's not the same as the monster game for PS2 is it?
Monster something or other...I like the idea of this game, personally.
I remember the good 'ol days of Mortal Kombat on the Nofriendo...I always played Raydan, God of Lightning!!!

I figured we'd get at least 5 posts in here before the X-Box pimp made an appearance.

It must be sad to be so hip and cutting edge, and yet, so ignored.

I have played a PS2 version called "War of the Monsters."

Not that great in single-player. Lots of fun in two-player mode.

Favorite monster: Congar the Ape. Quick, good climber, and his scream attack kicks butt.

Favorite arena: Airfield. Planes are great for throwing at your opponent. And the control tower has plenty of antennas for impaling attacks. Plus, it's a pretty open area, so you have an easier time with your throwing attacks.
