The Helios, a prototype super high flying solar powered flying wing, broke up in flight during functional testing of a new fuel cell.

Advanced Helios planes are expected to take over as a cheap, low maintanence, ground based replacement for all civilian (and some military) satellite based services. The future system is envisioned as being able to stay on station flying at 100,000 ft (and higher) for 6 months (and greater) at a time, and is expected to keep the costs of many type of broadcast systems down in the future.

Well Europe has one on the blocks that is slated for 100,000 feet as well, but it's going up to 60,000 feet by balloon, then it's going to be dropped and then it starts up and is to theoretically climb to 100,000 feet.

16 million - flush.

Damn risky new fuel cells. When will people learn? Coal is the future!

Or steam! Have they tried steam?!?

God...can't we just put a stop to this crap and hand everyone a million bucks one year? That would really stimulate some shit, I'll bet.

One Million, what about six? That is one strange looking plane. Looks like something the Six Million Dollar Man would fly.

Oh-oh! Looks like a blowout on damper three.
