With the dollar so low against the euro, could it be an advantage to buy my new graphics card online in the States? I reckon I could almost buy a radeon 9800 pro for the price of a 9700 pro here. But then again I would have warranty problems. Can't go back to the store if it doesn't work properly.

Do any of you have experience in buying pc components across the atlantic?

I suppose most components have a worldwide garanty (either directly, or through an extention you pay for)

Just do what I did - move to the US so you don't have to worry.

You could always get a US CG'er to buy the thing (or at least be a contact point should something need replacement).
